Engagement!

Kevin and his friend Chris bought a boat together this year, for of course it was decided that the 4th of July would be spent on it!  It was a perfect day and we were surrounded by friends waiting for the fire works to start.  I had previously bought all of the kids glow jewelry and Ashley, one of the little girls, had a ring that was not glowing, so I switched with her so she could have one that glowed.

While sitting there, Kevin asked me what was wrong with my ring, why wasn't it glowing.  I explained to him that I switched with Ashley since hers broke.  He said, "but why isn't it sparkly".  I said, "Well...Ashley's ring broke, so, I switched..." questioning if I was somehow unclear the first time LOL He then knelt down and said "well you need a better ring than that...Jessica will you marry me?"  I was in complete shock!  His friends didn't know about it either, everyone was surprised!  I of course said yes.  We cried, we hugged and then as timing couldn't be more perfect, the fireworks went off.  It was the most memorable day of my life and I could not have imaged it any more perfect.  I was so excited that one of our friends snapped the above picture seconds after the proposal :)

My ring is a beatiful round brilliant solitaire set on a pave diamond band...it's more gorgeous than I could have imagined.
